Girls Left in the Woods Become Archaeologists is the debut
collection of 24 essays and poems by Katerina Zherebtsova.
These works are reflections on being a woman, a mother,
growing older, being a foreigner, and reconciling childhood
fairytales with feminism. They are also contemplations of
the themes she witnesses: the rise in femicides, abortion
bans, environmental anxiety, the expansion of nationalism
and authoritarianism, and the ‘us vs other’ divide.

This is a collection of personal archaeology and digging into life around her for the answers.
