At 1609, Italian painter Fransisco Albani arrives at the majestic island of archipelagos, Chios. During his stay, at this place ruled by Ottomans, he discovers a manuscript at the monastery of Holy Mary Sikelia. That discovery sheds light into a heart breaking story from the middle ages. It’s a love story between Eugene and Zakelina. The young couple, wounded from their fate, after their painful break up, end up away from Chios, at Constantinople ,at a time that a war is raging. Greeks and Turks, christians and muslims are getting trapped between life and death, while the fall of Constantinople is taking place.
